1. GENERAL INFORMATION


  • The Short Way International Short Film Festival Online Showcase is a non-competitive, optional online exhibition featuring a selection of award-winning films from the Short Way International Short Film Festival.
  • The Online Showcase is organized under the umbrella of the Short Way International Short Film Festival and follows the same ethical and curatorial principles.
  • Participation is entirely voluntary and subject to the filmmaker’s explicit approval.
  • The showcase will take place from November 10, 2025, to January 31, 2026.
  • The purpose of this online showcase is strictly cultural and promotional, aiming to give more visibility to the filmmakers’ work.
  • There is no financial compensation involved for participation or exhibition.
  • The festival does not generate any revenue or monetization from the online showcase. Any views, comments, or statistics remain exclusively associated with the filmmaker’s original hosting platform.

    • 2. FILM ACCESS & CONTROL


  • All films will be displayed via external links provided directly by the filmmaker (e.g., Vimeo, YouTube, or Google Drive).
  • The Short Way International Short Film Festival Online Showcase does not host, upload, or modify any film files.
  • The filmmaker retains full control over their film at all times, including the right to edit, restrict, or remove access whenever they wish.
  • If the shared link becomes unavailable, the festival will promptly remove the film from the online showcase.
  • If a filmmaker wishes to limit the exhibition period to fewer than the official showcase dates, they may indicate the exact date or number of days permitted, and the festival will comply fully.
  • The festival respects the privacy settings chosen by the filmmaker. If the link is private, unlisted, or password-protected, it will only be shared in accordance with the filmmaker’s instructions.

    • 3. PERMISSION & APPROVAL


  • By replying to the official invitation email and providing the viewing link, the filmmaker grants explicit written permission for the festival to include the film in the online showcase.
  • The filmmaker’s confirmation email will serve as formal consent for this cultural and promotional exhibition.
  • The Short Way International Short Film Festival Online Showcase will not publish or share any link that has not been explicitly approved by the filmmaker.

    • 4. COPYRIGHT & LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY


  • The filmmaker must hold all necessary rights to their film, including but not limited to image rights, talent releases, soundtrack, and source music licenses.
  • The Short Way International Short Film Festival Online Showcase assumes no responsibility — legal, financial, or otherwise — for any copyright violations or third-party claims related to the film’s content.
  • Responsibility for obtaining, maintaining, and managing all rights rests solely with the filmmaker.
  • The inclusion of a film in the showcase does not imply any transfer of ownership, rights, or commercial distribution agreement.

    • 5. TECHNICAL & PRESENTATION DETAILS


  • The online showcase will display basic information for each participating film, including title, director, country, year, and award received.
  • Each film entry will include the external link provided by the filmmaker for public viewing.
  • If the link requires a password, it will be displayed only if the filmmaker has explicitly authorized its publication.

    • 6. LIABILITY & DISCLAIMER


  • The Short Way International Short Film Festival Online Showcase and its organizers are not liable for any issues related to the hosting platforms (such as Vimeo, YouTube, or Google Drive), including their availability, technical performance, or content policies.
  • Participation in the Online Showcase does not affect a film’s eligibility for other festivals or streaming platforms.
  • The festival reserves the right to remove or update links at any time, without prior notice, for reasons related to maintenance, compliance, or security.
  • The festival is not responsible for third-party content, pop-ups, advertisements, or external elements displayed on hosting platforms. Viewers access the films under their own responsibility and in accordance with the terms of each platform.

    • 7. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS


  • By replying to the invitation email and providing the viewing link, the filmmaker acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
  • The Festival reserves the right to modify these Rules & Terms if necessary, for reasons related to organization, security, or compliance. Any such changes will not affect films already confirmed unless explicitly agreed with the filmmaker.
  • Participation in the Online Showcase constitutes full acceptance of the Short Way International Short Film Festival Online Showcase Rules & Terms.

  • A participação é totalmente voluntária e depende da aprovação explícita do cineasta.
  • A mostra acontecerá de 10 de novembro de 2025 a 31 de janeiro de 2026.
  • O objetivo desta mostra online é estritamente cultural e promocional, visando dar maior visibilidade ao trabalho dos cineastas.
  • Não há qualquer tipo de compensação financeira pela participação ou exibição.
  • O festival não gera receita nem monetização com a mostra online. Visualizações, comentários ou estatísticas permanecem exclusivamente vinculados à plataforma original do cineasta.

    • 2. ACESSO E CONTROLE DOS FILMES


  • Todos os filmes serão exibidos por meio de links externos fornecidos diretamente pelo cineasta (ex.: Vimeo, YouTube ou Google Drive).
  • A Mostra Online do Short Way International Short Film Festival não hospeda, envia ou modifica nenhum arquivo de vídeo.
  • O cineasta mantém controle total sobre seu filme a qualquer momento, incluindo o direito de editar, restringir ou remover o acesso sempre que desejar.
  • Se o link compartilhado ficar indisponível, o festival removerá o filme da mostra online imediatamente.
  • Se o cineasta desejar limitar o período de exibição a menos do que o período oficial da mostra, poderá indicar a data ou o número de dias permitidos, e o festival cumprirá integralmente.
  • O festival respeita as configurações de privacidade escolhidas pelo cineasta. Se o link for privado, não listado ou protegido por senha, ele será compartilhado apenas de acordo com as instruções do cineasta.

    • 3. PERMISSÃO E APROVAÇÃO


  • Ao responder ao e-mail oficial de convite e fornecer o link de exibição, o cineasta concede permissão escrita explícita para que o festival inclua o filme na mostra online.
  • O e-mail de confirmação do cineasta servirá como consentimento formal para essa exibição cultural e promocional.
  • A Mostra Online do Short Way International Short Film Festival não publicará nem compartilhará nenhum link que não tenha sido expressamente aprovado pelo cineasta.

    • 4. DIREITOS AUTORAIS E RESPONSABILIDADE LEGAL


  • O cineasta deve possuir todos os direitos necessários sobre o filme, incluindo, mas não se limitando, a direitos de imagem, autorizações de elenco, trilha sonora e licenças de músicas.

  • Ao responder ao e-mail de convite e fornecer o link de exibição, o cineasta reconhece que leu, entendeu e concorda com estes termos.
  • O Festival reserva-se o direito de modificar estas Regras e Termos caso necessário, por motivos de organização, segurança ou conformidade. Quaisquer alterações não afetarão filmes já confirmados, salvo se houver acordo explícito com o realizador.
  • A participação na Mostra Online implica total aceitação das Regras e Termos da Mostra Online do Short Way International Short Film Festival.
