RULES / REGRAS


Online exhibition featuring a selection of award-winning films from the 4th Edition of Short Way International Short Film Festival from September 20, 2026, to November 30, 2026

1. GENERAL INFORMATION


  • The Short Way International Short Film Festival Online Showcase is an optional, non-competitive exhibition presenting a group of prize-winning films from the Short Way International Short Film Festival.
  • The Online Showcase is organized under the same direction and ethical principles of the Short Way International Short Film Festival.
  • Participation is entirely voluntary and depends on the filmmaker's explicit approval.
  • The Online Showcase will take place from September 20, 2026 to November 30, 2026.
  • The purpose of the Online Showcase is strictly cultural and promotional, providing filmmakers with additional visibility for their work.
  • Participation and exhibition are not subject to any financial compensation.
  • The festival does not generate revenue or monetization from the Online Showcase. Views, comments, and other statistics remain exclusively associated with the filmmaker's original hosting platform.
  • Participation in the Online Showcase does not constitute a new competition, involve judging, or result in any new award or prize.
  • Declining the invitation to participate in the Online Showcase will not affect any award, recognition, or result previously granted to the film by the Short Way International Short Film Festival.

    • 2. FILM ACCESS & CONTROL


  • All films will be exhibited through external links provided directly by the filmmaker, such as Vimeo, YouTube, or Google Drive.
  • The Short Way International Short Film Festival Online Showcase does not receive, host, store, upload, copy, download, or modify any video file.
  • The film remains hosted exclusively on the platform chosen by the filmmaker. The festival only makes the authorized link provided by the filmmaker available through the official Online Showcase page.
  • The filmmaker retains full control over access to their film at all times, including the right to edit, restrict, replace, or remove access whenever they wish.
  • The filmmaker is responsible for ensuring that the link provided to the festival allows access to and playback of the film under the conditions authorized for the Online Showcase.
  • If the shared link becomes unavailable, the festival may remove the film from the Online Showcase.
  • If a filmmaker wishes to limit the exhibition period to fewer than the official Online Showcase dates, they may specify the permitted date or number of days, and the festival will respect those limitations.
  • The festival respects the privacy settings chosen by the filmmaker. If the link is private, unlisted, or password-protected, it will be shared only according to the filmmaker's instructions.

    • 3. PERMISSION & APPROVAL


  • By replying to the official invitation email, confirming participation, and providing the exhibition link, the filmmaker grants express written permission for the film to be included in the Online Showcase.
  • The filmmaker's email confirmation, together with the authorized exhibition link, will serve as formal consent for the cultural and promotional exhibition of the film.
  • This authorization includes publication of the link provided by the filmmaker on the official Online Showcase page during the period authorized for exhibition.
  • The festival will not include any film in the Online Showcase without receiving the filmmaker's prior express authorization.
  • The festival will not publish or share any exhibition link that has not been expressly approved by the filmmaker.
  • The filmmaker may withdraw their authorization for the online exhibition at any time by submitting a written request to the festival. The festival will remove the film's link from the Online Showcase as soon as reasonably possible.

    • 4. COPYRIGHT & LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY


  • The filmmaker must hold all necessary rights to the film, including but not limited to image rights, talent releases, soundtrack rights, and music licenses.
  • The Short Way International Short Film Festival Online Showcase accepts no responsibility — legal, financial, or otherwise — for copyright violations or third-party claims relating to the content of the film.
  • The responsibility for obtaining, maintaining, and managing all rights and permissions relating to the film rests exclusively with the filmmaker.
  • The filmmaker is also responsible for ensuring that the external link provided to the festival may lawfully be used for the purpose authorized under these Rules & Terms.
  • The inclusion of a film in the Online Showcase does not imply any transfer of ownership, copyright, distribution rights, or any commercial distribution agreement.
  • Authorization to exhibit and promote the film through the Online Showcase does not constitute a transfer of copyright or ownership of the film or its materials to the Short Way International Short Film Festival.

    • 5. TECHNICAL & PRESENTATION DETAILS


  • The Online Showcase will display basic information about each participating film, including title, director, country, year, and award received.
  • Each film will include the external link provided and authorized by the filmmaker for public viewing.
  • If the link requires a password, the password will be displayed only if the filmmaker has expressly authorized its publication.
  • The festival may remove or update an exhibition link when requested by the filmmaker or when necessary to maintain the functionality, security, or accuracy of the Online Showcase.

    • 6. LIABILITY & DISCLAIMER


  • The Short Way International Short Film Festival Online Showcase and its organizers are not responsible for issues related to external hosting platforms, such as Vimeo, YouTube, or Google Drive, including availability, technical performance, moderation decisions, regional restrictions, or content policies.
  • The festival does not control the policies, settings, decisions, availability, or operation of the external platforms used by filmmakers.
  • The festival does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or playback of films, as access depends on external platforms and the settings maintained by the filmmaker.
  • The filmmaker understands that changes to the external platform, including the removal, restriction, blocking, or modification of the film or its link, may affect its availability in the Online Showcase.
  • Participation in the Online Showcase does not affect the film's eligibility for participation in other film festivals, competitions, or streaming platforms.
  • The festival reserves the right to remove or update links at any time, without prior notice, when necessary for maintenance, compliance, security, or technical reasons.
  • The festival is not responsible for third-party content, pop-ups, advertisements, cookies, or other external elements displayed by the hosting platforms. Viewers access the films under their own responsibility and in accordance with the terms and policies of each external platform.

    • 7. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS


  • By replying to the official invitation email, confirming participation, and providing the exhibition link, the filmmaker confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Rules & Terms.
  • Providing the exhibition link in response to the official invitation, together with confirmation of participation, constitutes the filmmaker's formal acceptance of these Rules & Terms.
  • The festival may modify these Rules & Terms when necessary for organizational, security, or compliance purposes. Any amendments will not affect films already confirmed for participation, unless otherwise expressly agreed with the filmmaker.
  • Participation in the Online Showcase constitutes full acceptance of the Short Way International Short Film Festival Online Showcase Rules & Terms.

  • A Mostra Online é organizada sob a mesma direção e os mesmos princípios éticos do Short Way International Short Film Festival.
  • A participação é totalmente voluntária e depende da aprovação explícita do cineasta.
  • A Mostra Online acontecerá de 20 de setembro de 2026 a 30 de novembro de 2026.
  • O objetivo da Mostra Online é estritamente cultural e promocional, proporcionando aos cineastas maior visibilidade para seus trabalhos.
  • A participação e a exibição não estão sujeitas a qualquer tipo de compensação financeira.
  • O festival não gera receita ou monetização com a Mostra Online. Visualizações, comentários e outras estatísticas permanecem exclusivamente vinculados à plataforma original de hospedagem escolhida pelo cineasta.
  • A participação na Mostra Online não constitui uma nova competição, não envolve julgamento e não resulta na concessão de qualquer novo prêmio ou reconhecimento.
  • A recusa do convite para participar da Mostra Online não afetará qualquer prêmio, reconhecimento ou resultado anteriormente concedido ao filme pelo Short Way International Short Film Festival.

    • 2. ACESSO E CONTROLE DOS FILMES


  • Todos os filmes serão exibidos por meio de links externos fornecidos diretamente pelo cineasta, como Vimeo, YouTube ou Google Drive.
  • A Mostra Online do Short Way International Short Film Festival não recebe, hospeda, armazena, envia, copia, baixa ou modifica qualquer arquivo de vídeo.
  • O filme permanece hospedado exclusivamente na plataforma escolhida pelo cineasta. O festival apenas disponibiliza, na página oficial da Mostra Online, o link autorizado fornecido pelo cineasta.
  • O cineasta mantém controle total sobre o acesso ao seu filme a qualquer momento, incluindo o direito de editar, restringir, substituir ou remover o acesso sempre que desejar.
  • O cineasta é responsável por garantir que o link fornecido ao festival permita o acesso e a reprodução do filme nas condições autorizadas para a Mostra Online.
  • Caso o link compartilhado fique indisponível, o festival poderá remover o filme da Mostra Online.
  • Caso o cineasta deseje limitar o período de exibição a menos do que o período oficial da Mostra Online, poderá indicar a data ou o número de dias permitidos, e o festival respeitará essas limitações.
  • O festival respeita as configurações de privacidade escolhidas pelo cineasta. Se o link for privado, não listado ou protegido por senha, ele será compartilhado somente de acordo com as instruções do cineasta.

    • 3. PERMISSÃO E APROVAÇÃO


  • Ao responder ao e-mail oficial de convite, confirmar sua participação e fornecer o link de exibição, o cineasta concede autorização expressa e por escrito para que o filme seja incluído na Mostra Online.
  • A confirmação do cineasta por e-mail, juntamente com o link de exibição autorizado, servirá como consentimento formal para a exibição cultural e promocional do filme.
  • Essa autorização inclui a publicação do link fornecido pelo cineasta na página oficial da Mostra Online durante o período autorizado para exibição.
  • O festival não incluirá qualquer filme na Mostra Online sem receber previamente a autorização expressa do cineasta.
  • A Mostra Online não publicará nem compartilhará qualquer link de exibição que não tenha sido expressamente aprovado pelo cineasta.
  • O cineasta poderá retirar sua autorização para a exibição online a qualquer momento, mediante solicitação por escrito ao festival. Nesse caso, o festival removerá o link do filme da Mostra Online assim que possível.

    • 4. DIREITOS AUTORAIS E RESPONSABILIDADE LEGAL


  • O cineasta deve possuir todos os direitos necessários sobre o filme, incluindo, mas não se limitando a, direitos de imagem, autorizações de elenco, direitos de trilha sonora e licenças de músicas.
  • A Mostra Online do Short Way International Short Film Festival não assume qualquer responsabilidade — legal, financeira ou de outra natureza — por violações de direitos autorais ou reivindicações de terceiros relacionadas ao conteúdo do filme.
  • A responsabilidade por obter, manter e gerenciar todos os direitos e autorizações relacionados ao filme é exclusivamente do cineasta.
  • O cineasta também é responsável por garantir que o link externo fornecido ao festival possa ser utilizado legalmente para a finalidade autorizada por estas Regras e Termos.
  • A inclusão de um filme na Mostra Online não implica qualquer transferência de propriedade, direitos autorais, direitos de distribuição ou qualquer acordo de distribuição comercial.
  • A autorização para exibição e divulgação do filme por meio da Mostra Online não implica qualquer transferência de direitos autorais ou de propriedade sobre o filme ou seus materiais ao Short Way International Short Film Festival.

    • 5. DETALHES TÉCNICOS E DE APRESENTAÇÃO


  • A Mostra Online apresentará informações básicas sobre cada filme participante, incluindo título, direção, país, ano e prêmio recebido.
  • Cada filme incluirá o link externo fornecido e autorizado pelo cineasta para visualização pública.
  • Se o link exigir uma senha, a senha será exibida somente se o cineasta tiver autorizado expressamente sua publicação.
  • O festival poderá remover ou atualizar um link de exibição quando solicitado pelo cineasta ou quando necessário para manter a funcionalidade, segurança ou precisão da Mostra Online.

    • 6. ISENÇÃO DE RESPONSABILIDADE


  • A Mostra Online do Short Way International Short Film Festival e seus organizadores não são responsáveis por problemas relacionados às plataformas externas utilizadas para hospedagem, como Vimeo, YouTube ou Google Drive, incluindo disponibilidade, desempenho técnico, decisões de moderação, restrições regionais ou políticas de conteúdo.
  • O festival não controla as políticas, configurações, decisões, disponibilidade ou funcionamento das plataformas externas utilizadas pelos cineastas.
  • O festival não garante disponibilidade ou reprodução ininterrupta dos filmes, uma vez que o acesso depende das plataformas externas e das configurações mantidas pelo cineasta.
  • O cineasta reconhece que alterações na plataforma externa, incluindo a remoção, restrição, bloqueio ou modificação do filme ou de seu link, poderão afetar sua disponibilidade na Mostra Online.
  • A participação na Mostra Online não afeta a elegibilidade do filme para participação em outros festivais de cinema, competições ou plataformas de streaming.
  • O festival reserva-se o direito de remover ou atualizar links a qualquer momento, sem aviso prévio, quando necessário por motivos de manutenção, conformidade, segurança ou questões técnicas.
  • O festival não é responsável por conteúdos de terceiros, pop-ups, anúncios, cookies ou outros elementos externos exibidos pelas plataformas de hospedagem. O acesso aos filmes é de responsabilidade exclusiva dos espectadores e está sujeito aos termos e políticas de cada plataforma externa.

    • 7. ACEITAÇÃO DOS TERMOS


  • Ao responder ao e-mail oficial de convite, confirmar sua participação e fornecer o link de exibição, o cineasta confirma que leu, entendeu e concorda com estas Regras e Termos.
  • O fornecimento do link de exibição em resposta ao convite oficial, juntamente com a confirmação de participação, constitui a aceitação formal destas Regras e Termos pelo cineasta.
  • O festival poderá modificar estas Regras e Termos quando necessário por motivos de organização, segurança ou conformidade. Quaisquer alterações não afetarão os filmes já confirmados para participação, salvo se houver acordo expresso em contrário com o cineasta.
  • A participação na Mostra Online implica a aceitação integral das Regras e Termos da Mostra Online do Short Way International Short Film Festival.
